 Stephanie Romm grew up in New York City and has been performing ever since she can remember. The stage has always been a natural environment to her. From her first appearances in talent shows at her beach club, to community plays, she has always loved performing. Stephanie studied basic guitar and piano, but her love was singing. Throughout high school, she performed with local bands and kept herself busy in chorus work at school. She went on to get her BA in applied voice
at S.U.N.Y. College at New Paltz, continuing to perform in local bands.
During this period, she recorded a disco single with RCA entitled “Keep it Up” that made the hot 100 on BILLBOARD. “I remember being in a club, and hearing my song, and it was the best feeling!.” She said as she remembered those days.
Stephanie performed in the Hudson Valley region of New York and traveled throughout the East Coast with her band Fine Line, performing top 40 hits in the resort circuit. Stephanie left Fine Line in 1988 to perform a stage show that was the genesis of her current cabaret show, where she and her partner performed all over the Catskill hotels.
Stephanie retired from performing to raise her two daughters, and founded a successful entertainment agency, booking performers and events now in it’s 26th year. (SR Productions, Inc,), When her daughters were in high school, Stephanie decided keep the agency, but to return to her first love, performing on stage.
 Stephanie has created a "One Woman Cabaret Show" encompassing songs from the 1930's to the 80's. It is up to an hour long mix of Broadway hits like “All that Jazz’ from Chicago, “Cabaret”, and "Memory" from Cats. She loves the old songs from Judy Garland and Harold Arlen and also incorporates their songs into her show! In a completely interactive program, with a splash of comedy, charm, and sparkly gown, top hat and boa, she consistently leaves the audiences wanting more.. She takes the audience on a journey with songs that span 50 years and always bring smiles and tears to the listeners. It is a great show for corporate events, senior trips, anniversary and birthday parties!
If you want a "full evening" of a show and dancing for your guests, or if you just prefer a dance band, Steph can come in as a vocalist with her band The Bronx Express.
Her performances with The Bronx Express, feature popular songs ranging from standards, 60’S, classic rock, disco, to some of today's pop and country rock favorites. The band can come in as a duo/ trio or as a five piece.
Stephanie is a dynamic performer, whether in an intimate setting or the big stage, she will guarantee your audience a great performance that will have them smiling and wanting more.
